World Series Info

At the discretion of Babe Ruth Headquarters, the State Champion from the state in which the community hosting the World Series is located will be invited to participate as an invitational team.  We are pleased to announce that the winner of the Central California Cal Ripken Major/60 State Tournament is invited to participate as an invitational team at the 2019 Cal Ripken Major/60 World Series to be held in Visalia, California.  In addition, we will allow the runner-up team of the Central California Cal Ripken Major/60 State Tournament to participate in the Pacific Southwest Cal Ripken Major/60 Regional Tournament, which also gives them the opportunity to participate in the Cal Ripken Major/60 World Series should they win the Regional Tournament.

The State Champion will be responsible for their expenses for transportation, lodging (if applicable, at an approved Babe Ruth League World Series Hotel) and meals for all team personnel (players, coaches, manager) for the duration of their stay at the World Series, as well as full compliance with the Pre-World Series Instructions.

Please be advised that this special invitation supersedes Rule 11.06, paragraph 5, meaning the state champion is not eligible to compete in regional play.

We feel this is an excellent way to allow more youngsters to experience the thrill of a lifetime.  Participating in the World Series is an incredible opportunity for kids to visit a new city, explore different surroundings, make new friends, and play their favorite game, a true big-league experience, that will leave them with a host of memories to cherish for the rest of their lives.

Best wishes for an enjoyable and successful 2019 season.
